Ok, I'll start at the beginning. My sister Sarah told us all she was pregnant with her last baby, a few months ago. Every time I talk to her, which is usually every day, she tells me she keeps thinking that she's pregnant with twins. She's not sure why, but she just feels like she is. So she went in for her first appointment last week and they did an ultrasound. Sarah's feeling was right, she is pregnant with twins!! She called me totally freaking out, but has since come to terms with it and what it means for her and her family. And now, she's very excited. She is only 11 weeks pregnant but is measureing 23 weeks. YIKES!! Since she told everyone, I have breathed a sigh of relief. If Sarah is having twins it means, I probabely won't right? Of course right, twins don't happen that often in one family. Yay for Sarah and taking one for the team!!
Next, my little peanut has finally sprouted 2 teeth. He's been really cranky about it, but it has finally happened. Unfortunately, I see about 6 more ready to pop through. Poor guy. It has been a rough couple of nights for him and mom and dad. Up every 2 hours!!
And finally, the apples. So last Friday night it froze up here in Pullman. The WSU orchards have been selling their fruit for the last couple of weeks. But after the freeze, everything will turn to mush. In fact, their fuji apples weren't even ripe yet and they lost the whole crop due to the freeze. So on Saturday, in an effort to get rid of all the apples before they turned to mush, you could go and pick as much as you wanted for free! Even though I had already canned applesauce a few weeks ago, me and my friends Becky and Michelle, went and picked 150 pounds of apples! What were we thinking right? Well, they had to be canned within 48 hours or they would be rotten. So Saturday night, the 3 of us stayed up until 1:30 AM canning applesauce, apple butter, apple syrup and making apple pies. It was so exhausting, but it was really fun too. Things get really funny that late!
