Vet School Open-House

Every year on Mom's weekend, the Vet school has an open house. For some reason, I thought it was just for vet students and their families. So for the past 5 years we haven't gone. My super cool friend Kate, who's husband is graduating from vet school this weekend (woohoo! Go Mike!)informed me it's open to the public! So we all headed down there on Saturday. Holy Cow! Literally! There were tons of people there and the kids LOVED it.

They had some little ponies there that the kids got to feed. Parker kept wanting to do it, but too scared every time the horse got close enough to get the carrot and would drop it.

He roped the little bull and actually got it on the 1st try! The cowboys around him were pretty impressed.

They had face painting too which they always love. Parker got an angry bird and Ava got a horse or unicorn.

Ava was really excited to pet the snake, but Parker didn't want to go anywhere near it. He did not think that was cool at all. Ava also liked to pet the ponies.

There was so much to do there. They had something at every table for the kids to do. They even had pretend surgery tables set up that the kids could get all dressed in scrubs for and do 'surgery' on stuffed animals. It was pretty cool.
