Surgery

The day finally arrived when we'd had enough of Ava's snotty nose and nasally talk.  We went to an ENT and he said lets get those tonsils and adnoids out.  Sawyer B had an ear infection every month since last October and we were ready to be done with them.  The ENT thought it would be best to get some ear tubes in.  So we scheduled the day and they both went in together.

Sawyer went first and everything ran smooth.  No problems, he even woke up relatively happy.

Ava on the other hand, was not super happy about the whole situation.  She went in just fine, woke up hard.  She was not happy.  Not happy at all.  Her recovery was hard.  She kept telling me she wished that she had never gotten her tonsils out.  She hated the medicine they gave her, she hated to eat, she hated everything.  We got her through it though.  The doctor said her adnoids were huge, so it was good that we got them out.  We could tell a difference really quickly after she was recovered.

She talks much clearer now.  No stuffy nose.  And now she doesn't have a snotty, crusty nose all the time.  In the long run, we're really glad we had the surgery.  Sawyer hasn't had an ear infection since he got the tubes in either.  It's been a much healthier few months for our family.
