Surgery Day

Ava and Sawyer had surgery on the same day.

We finally got the go ahead to have Ava's tonsils and adnoids removed.  Finally!!  

And Sawyer got ear tubes.  He had had ear infections every month from October till he had them put in.  So we were very excited to get them in.

Ava was a little nervous, but it went really well.  Recovery was kind of rough for Ava.  She didn't want to take the pain medicine at all.  She hated it and I had to practically shove it down her throat.  Slowly, but surely, she got back to her normal self.

You can really tell the difference in how she talk now too.  She sounds different, not as congested all the time.  And she's not all boogery all the time.

Sawyer had no problems with the ear tubes.  He has been ear infection free since then too.  What a life saver!!
