Mrs. Handy's preschool takes a field trip to Black Island Farms every year. We've looked forward to it every year so far.
Here is Sawyer's class in front of the farm.
Luckily, we were able to bring our 2 friends that we've been babysitting for a while. Kynsli and Deklan aka (Buddy), came with us on our their last day. Their family was moving to Idaho the next day. We were so sad to see them go, they had become like family.
Mrs. Handy is so wonderful, she made all the kids goody bags to eat after the ride.
Afterwards, we got to see the rest of the farm, including the slides. The kids thought it super fun. I love the look on Buddy's face as he watches Sawyer go down.
They also had a lot of fun outdoor musical instruments that the kids got a kick out of.
Then there was the cow train. They got to go for a little ride in these cow cars. They thought it was pretty cool. Buddy wasn't so sure about it. He just wanted to sit back and watch.
Maybe the best part was the pig races. It was so funny watching these kids cheer on little piglets. At first they didn't want to go too. The farm handlers had to kind of chase them around the ring.
On our way out, the kids decided to hop up on the stage while some fun music was playing. They all did a dance. It was hilarious. Love those kids. We really miss Buddy and Kynsli.
