Buffalo Point did a play this year and Ava really wanted to participate. To audition, you had to recite a poem and sing the chorus of your favorite song. She practiced the poem a lot and had it down pretty well. She practiced her song too. She chose Fight Song by Rachel Platten. It takes guts to get up and sing a song a capella.
She successfully secured a roll. Well several rolls. She kind of filled in a lot of rolls. But she only had a couple lines. But she practiced her little heart out and didn't miss 1 play practice.
She also got to help paint backdrops and everything. She had a really good time and learned a lot. When we went to the performance, which is a spoof on Harry Potter, they couldn't get their microphone system figured out. So we really didn't hear anything at all.
But, we are really proud of her and how dedicated she was. She worked really hard and looked darling. Yay Ava!!
